Bringing plants back to Parramatta Park

MP for Parramatta Julie Owens worked hard to get DSMG a small Communities Environment Program grant to work with Parramatta Park to bring yam daisies and other culturally important plants back to the cultural landscape of Parramatta Park.

The project is in its early stages and has been delayed by Covid-19, but we are working with the Parramatta Park Trust and Muru Mittigar to prepare an area along Domain Creek to bring yam daisies and other plants back to Nura in this important place.

We will be organising working bees to prepare the ground and begin planting in March and April next year. If you’d like to join in – let us know.
