EOI for Public Art on Wallumadegul Nura

A development project in Macquarie Park in Wallumadegul Nura is commissioning a significant public artwork with a closing date for expressions of interest of March 6. The developer is Stockland. Their project brief is available below and includes the following overview:

" Stockland is seeking to commission a significant artwork for their new development M_Park located on the lands of the Wallumattagal People now known as Macquarie Park, in the heart of Dharug Nura. Dharug Nura covers the majority of the Sydney basin, from the salt water on the coast to the edge of the Blue Mountains , from the Hawkesbury in the North to Appin in the South. This commission will be led by Country and work with Aboriginal artists/ creatives or collaborators. The Artist Team can be interdisciplinary and will be guided by Dharug consultation and participation through Stockland’s ongoing First Nations engagement strategy that has informed the design of the precinct. This is an opportunity for a place-based integrated artwork that responds to these cultural learnings gained through the Designing with Country process and communicates how Dharug connect to and understand Nura (Country).
