Join DSMG and Dharug Community at the Blacktown Native Institution site on Saturday August 12 to recognise Dharug Ngurra, show respect to the memory of the BNI that was established on the site in 1823, and to connect to this important Dharug place and celebrate the 5th anniversary of its return to Dharug ownership and care with us.
This public event will commence at 10am with a Welcome and Smoking and will include talks, performances, exhibitions and workshops that reflect on the traumatic history of colonisation and disconnection, and celebrate our efforts to transform grief into healing through cultural and ecological healing of Country.
Lunch and snacks will be available for purchase.
